Too often I like to compartmentalize things in my life. This experience over here, that group of people over there, etc., etc.,. Rarely do I try to stop and make a conscious effort to rework my brain into a more continuous flow. It is only recently that I've started to realize that separating ideas, places, and events into neat boxes isn't doing me any good and may even be holding be back.
The context for this thinking is the recent end of my GIST and APLP experience. It's easy to fall into the trap of thinking: "well, that part of my life is over, now it's time to start something new and progress onto the next stage." I do intend to keep progressing as a person, but I'm trying to remind myself that this progressing does not stand in isolation, instead, it always flows from one thing into another. To attempt to create artificial boundaries between different times and places in my life is ultimately counter productive.
I'm now looking for a job in Bangkok and leveraging the experiences of the past months into this job search will be key. This might be the end of my blog here but I will continue writing up my thoughts on my personal blog, found at kwamsuk.wordpress.com I look forward to meeting you there.
